Dawn over
The Paddocks Auckley.
What do
they say about Red Sky in the Morning?
The shepherds warned and later on, it rained
and rained and rained. Oh and the wind blew like there was no tomorrow.
Anyway, I’ve
posted this picture to highlight my desire to restart my flying lessons later
this spring. (Finance permitting). If everything goes according to plan then in
late April or early May you’ll see me in a light aircraft in that very sky!
I had my
last lesson in back in 2006, can’t believe it’s been over five years. But Shaz and I had just gotten back from holiday so money was very tight and the weather was turning
very nasty. So I decided to postpone the lessons until things improved. Alas with
one thing and another, the opportunity to take to the air never came up.
I cannot
tell you how much I’ve missed being in the air, whenever a small plane flies
overhead I always look up with envy.
As soon as
I’ve done the required number of hours; had the medical; passed the seven different
exams; done my solo flight; had my flying test with the examiner, I’ll be a
qualified pilot. Once I get my wings you are more than welcome to come up with
me and experience the thrill of flying a light aircraft. The experience is
totally different from flying in those high powered holiday jets.
Chocs
away!!
