3rd Picture

This particular church in the village of Finningley has no significance to me; however I have used this picture to signify places of worship.

You see my dad was a Sikh preacher, so as you can imagine I spent a lot of my time as a youngster in the Sikh temple in Huddersfield.

Maybe it’s for this reason I no longer attend church functions unless it’s a wedding or a funeral.

When I was 18 I rebelled and decided to cut my hair. Bearing in mind my dad’s status within our local Sikh community and the fact that Sikhs aren’t allowed to cut their hair, this was a huge act of rebellion.

Maybe one day, I’ll blog about my dad’s reaction. But not today.

Nowadays, I don’t know if I still believe in God. Not sure there is anything beyond what we have right here, right now. But I suppose I’ll just have to wait and see.
