Although
this picture is of Janet, it’s to symbolise all our customer/friends who visit
our store.
Even though
we only get to see folks for a couple of minutes at a time, this hasn’t stopped
us from building a close bond of friendship. This has enabled us share events
in their lives. Be it births deaths or marriages, and regardless of whether
we’re invited to these events or not. We still feel totally involved in the
whole thing.
This also works in the opposite direction as well. Folks that have
known us for a while will have shared all our happiness and sorrow.
In some
instances we are now serving the fourth generation of the same family. I always
find it quite amusing when parents come into the shop with their kids, because
in some instances we can remember when the parents were younger and the
mischief they used to get up too!
We recently went to the re-launch of the Eagle
and the fact that so many of our customers were there made the whole evening
fly by. It felt more like a party room full of friends than an evening at the
pub.
So here’s
to a few more shared memories and lets hope they’re all great ones!
