As this was
my last day of the 30 day photography challenge I wanted to go out with a bang!
Shaz and I
were invited to the Retail Trust Ball at the Grosvenor House Hotel on Park Lane
in London, a very prestigious event indeed!
The event
was to raise money in aid of all those that work in the retail industry who may
be going through hardship.
Spar is
affiliated to this charity and that was the reason we were invited.
So anyway, I
decided that as this was going to be the last of my 30 day challenge I would
try and get on the stage to take a picture of all the audience.
Why? I don’t
know I just thought it’d be a good idea.
As some of
the most respected names on the high street were there, like Sir Phillip Green
(Arcadia); Rob Templeton (Debenhams); Michelle Mone (Ultimo) to name but a few;
I knew what I was planning was a bit audacious to say the least.
Anyway, I knew
the chances of me ever being invited back were going to be very slim so who
dares wins right?
My chance
came when the whole audience had to play a game called knife, fork or spoon.
The game involved the host Brain Connolly reading out a multiple choice
question and the answer was either a knife, a fork or a spoon.
So I cheated!
I waited
until the answer was announced before picking up the correct utensil
This got me
to the final three and a visit onto the stage. I wasn’t really paying attention
to what the quiz involved all I was interested in was taking a picture from the
stage.
As you can
see my mission was a success
Once that
was completed I could relax for the rest of the evening and I spend the entire
night getting a little drunk and dancing like an idiot.
Good times
